Age Limit

Candidates applying for the Assistant Engineer posts must meet the specified age criteria calculated as on the closing date of the online application:

• Maximum Upper Age Limit (General/EWS): 28 Years
• Category-Wise Age Relaxation:
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years (Up to 31 years)
  • SC / ST: 5 Years (Up to 33 years)
  • PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 10 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per applicable Central Government directives

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a full-time, regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc Engg.) from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum specified percentage (60% for UR/EWS/OBC; 50% for SC/ST/PwBD).

• Assistant Engineer (Chemical): B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology. Must possess a valid GATE 2026 Chemical Engineering (CH) score card.
• Assistant Engineer (Mechanical): B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Must possess a valid GATE 2026 Mechanical Engineering (ME) score card.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Must possess a valid GATE 2026 Electrical Engineering (EE) score card.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in the E2 Pay Scale grade of ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000/- with an initial basic pay of ₹50,000 per month.

• Starting Basic Pay: ₹50,000 per month
• Estimated Annual CTC: Approximately ₹16.00 Lakhs per annum
• Allowances & Perks: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Company Accommodation, Cafeteria Perks, Medical Benefits, Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, Superannuation Benefits, and Performance Related Pay (PRP) as per company policies.

Selection Process

Here is the best part: there is no separate written examination for this recruitment! Candidates will be directly shortlisted based on their GATE 2026 scores, followed by a Personal Interview.

4. Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Final appointment depends on meeting MRPL's strict medical fitness standards.
